Art Fund
On May 1, 2026, the Burning Mirror Foundation celebrated its launch with a white-tie fundraising dinner benefitting the National Art Collections Fund (Art Fund).
Our Launch Dinner raised funds specifically for Art Fund acquisition grants for UK museums and galleries. Though the grants we fundraised for have not been publicly disclosed, Art Fund’s grants play an integral role in the acquisition of and commissioning of artworks that go on to inspire millions. These acquisitions function as key agents in the UK’s cultural economy, and the mission of funding acquisitions for public study and display aligns closely with the Burning Mirror Foundation’s larger mission.
Art Fund’s grants are approved quarterly by a board of experts, and their approval typically catalyses a chain reaction of further funding. It has been seen time and time again that when Art Fund approves a grant, other foundations and private individuals soon follow, trusting in Art Fund’s thorough vetting process and transparent structure. It is through this that our funds become a force multiplier, and we look forward to partnering with Art Fund for future initiatives.
